  Cordiano winery is located in eastern Escondido on a hilltop with expansive views of the Escondido Valley. It's a great place to bring a date on a Summer (October is still Summer in Escondido) evening to eat pizza, drink decent wine and take in the sunset. The winery is family run and for me the entire experience is the warmth of the family and beautiful views. I can sit here for hours. The winery is a short distance from the San Diego Safari Park. Spend the day there and end your perfect day at Cordiano.

  Pros, view and wine are decent
  Cons, 20min line to buy food. Took 45mins to get our meal and it came out cold. Server forgot utensils and never came back.

  The day immediately after thanks giving warranted a drive out and we selected this venue for its pizza and wine, for lunch.
  
  In our travels we bumped into other friends so we became 6 for lunch.
  
  The Trinity award winning wines was reasonable and the pizza's were rather good. The hilltop views and scenery are wonderful and no wonder people use this as a great place to host special events.
